What is Project Whetstone?
Project Whetstone is a trauma recovery initiative under Cannenta Wellness & Counseling Inc., designed for veterans and first responders navigating the long road of trauma recovery, reintegration and post-service identity shifts.
We combine evidence-based therapy, peer support, and experiential learning to create holistic healing journeys. At the heart of our work is the belief that healing happens in connection with others, with ourselves, and with the natural world.
Our multidisciplinary team includes licensed clinicians, trained peer mentors, and community partners who are passionate about walking this path alongside those we serve. Whether through therapy, a shared hike, or a simple conversation, we believe every step forward matters.
At Project Whetstone, we seek to empower veterans, transitioning service members, and first responders carrying invisible wounds by providing trauma-informed therapy, peer mentorship, and transformative experiences in nature. Like the whetstone that sharpens a blade, we believe healing is forged through challenge, connection, and purpose.
Our integrated programs are designed to support healing, growth, and leadership. Through immersive adventure therapy and peer-driven support, we offer the tools, environment, and community that participants need to move forward with strength and purpose.
We walk alongside those who have served, helping them reclaim their stories, rebuild resilience, and rediscover their edge; on the trail and in life.
